That the Parliament congratulates Panbride and Carmyllie on their success in Legion Scotland’s 2026 Best Kept War Memorial Competition; understands that Panbride War Memorial, near Carnoustie, was named national winner of the Satellite Memorial without Gardens category, while Carmyllie won in the Satellite Memorial with Gardens category; recognises Angus’s proud record in the competition and the dedication of those who care for the county’s war memorials; notes that the competition celebrates the upkeep of memorials and helps to ensure that the sacrifices that they commemorate are not forgotten; commends the volunteers, community groups, Legion Scotland members and council staff whose work keeps these important places of remembrance in fitting condition, and congratulates everyone involved in securing further national recognition for Angus.
