That the Parliament congratulates Sean Grimes and Chris Parry on undertaking the iconic Land’s End to John o’ Groats cycle challenge in September 2026, riding the length of Great Britain to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health initiatives and Diabetes Scotland; understands that the challenge will cover approximately 980 miles over 12 to 14 days of cycling; recognises the considerable physical and mental resilience required to complete such an endurance challenge; commends Chris and Sean for using their own experiences to help break the silence around men’s mental health and encourage people to talk openly about difficult times; recognises that Sean is also undertaking the challenge in memory of his late father, who he recently lost to diabetes; notes that more than 365,000 people in Scotland are living with diabetes; acknowledges the vital support provided by Diabetes Scotland to people affected by the condition; applauds Chris and Sean’s commitment to raising funds for better care, research and support for people in Scotland, and wishes them every success as they take on this gruelling and inspiring challenge.
