Banyan Tree Network

That the Parliament recognises that the UK launch of the Banyan Tree Network took place in Paisley Town Hall on 29 and 30 August 2026; understands that the Banyan Tree Network is an opportunity for thinkers, doers and organisations committed to the celebration of Dharmic culture and wisdom to come together to share ideas and create community; notes that it is named after India's banyan tree, which is a network of roots and trunks that are separate but connected, nurturing and feeding each other while being autonomous; congratulates the Scottish Hindu Foundation and Richi Sinha for their part in organising the UK launch and bringing together Hindus from across the world; notes their work with Mandirs from across Scotland, and encourages MSPs to engage with and learn about Mandirs in their own constituencies and regions.
