Congratulating Bishop Frank Dougan on 25 Years of Priestly Ministry

That the Parliament congratulates Wishaw native and St Aidan’s High School alumnus, Bishop Frank Dougan, on marking 25 years of priestly ministry on 27 June 2026; recognises that, during his priesthood, he has served as Assistant Priest at Our Lady & St Anne’s, Hamilton, Vice Rector of the Pontifical Scots College in Rome and Parish Priest of St Mark’s and St Anthony’s, Rutherglen, before serving at Our Lady of Lourdes, East Kilbride; notes that Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Galloway on 22 December 2023 and that he was ordained to the episcopate on 9 March 2024 at St Peter’s-in-Chains Church; commends his dedicated service to the Church and to the communities he has served, and wishes him continued health, happiness and every blessing for the future.
