That the Parliament congratulates Kim Beveridge, Lecturer in Film and TV at New College Lanarkshire, on being named a Silver winner in the FE Lecturer of the Year category at the Pearson National Teaching Awards; notes that Kim is among 99 outstanding teachers, lecturers, leaders and support staff recognised for their dedication and impact on National Thank a Teacher Day; understands that she is only the second lecturer from a Scottish college to receive this honour; recognises the judges’ commendation of her distinctive approach to nurturing creativity and talent in her students across Lanarkshire, and celebrates her achievement as an example of excellence in further education and the positive difference made by college staff in supporting learners and communities.
