That the Parliament welcomes the establishment of Level Up Music, a new music school in Wishaw founded by local musician and producer Andy McLaughlan; notes that the school marks the return of a dedicated community music facility to the area following the closure of its predecessor during the COVID-19 pandemic; recognises the efforts of Andy and his team, including studio manager Mark Butt and tutors Andrew Richens and Billy Warren, in delivering professional tuition across a range of instruments and vocal disciplines; understands that the school will offer lessons, workshops and live performance opportunities for young people; notes its commitment to community engagement through partnerships with local primary schools, the reinvestment of a proportion of fees into school music programmes, and collaboration with REACH Lanarkshire Autism to support accessibility for children with additional support needs; acknowledges the positive impact of music education in building confidence, creativity, teamwork and educational attainment; believes that Level Up Music will nurture local talent, and wishes those involved every success.
