That the Parliament congratulates Calum Phillip, of Central Athletics Club, on his impressive victory in the historic Edinburgh to North Berwick race; notes that more than 180 runners took part in the 20-mile event, which runs through East Lothian and along its coastline before finishing at Elcho Green; further notes that Calum Phillip secured first place in a time of one hour, 49 minutes and 10 seconds, narrowly missing the course record by just 25 seconds; recognises the strength of the competitors, with notable performances across the field, including the podium finishers and leading female athletes; welcomes the continued success and revival of this long-established race, which dates back to 1958 and was reintroduced in recent years; commends the organisers, volunteers and local community for delivering a successful event, and wishes Calum Phillip every success in his future athletics career.
