That the Parliament congratulates Ruth Powell Wilson of Penicuik on the occasion of her 100th birthday; recognises her remarkable life spanning a century of resilience, community spirit and family devotion; notes that she was born in Cardenden, Fife, in 1926 and later settled in Penicuik in 1965, where she has remained a valued member of the community; commends her continued active involvement in local life, including her participation in golf and bowling and her achievement as Ladies Bowls Champion in 2003; notes her creativity and enthusiasm during lockdown, when she recorded and released music with family members; acknowledges the celebration of her centenary by Midlothian Provost Debbi McCall and the Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian, Sarah Barron, who presented her with a card from His Majesty The King, and wishes Ruth continued happiness as she celebrates this very special milestone with family, friends and the wider Penicuik community.
