Our Lady’s High School in Motherwell Reaccredited as Gold Rights Respecting School

That the Parliament congratulates Our Lady’s High School, in Motherwell, on being re-accredited as a Gold Rights Respecting School by UNICEF UK; recognises that this award is the highest accolade in UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Schools programme and reflects the years of dedicated work by staff and pupils to develop a culture where children’s rights are understood, respected and championed; acknowledges the school’s commitment to embedding the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into its ethos, policies and daily practice; celebrates the way in which the school has promoted pupil voice, supported global citizenship and humanitarian initiatives and made rights education a cornerstone of its approach; commends the efforts of the pupils, staff and wider school community in achieving this significant reaccreditation, and wishes them continued success in championing children’s rights.
