That the Parliament congratulates Galashiels Town Youth Band on being crowned national champion in the Development section at the Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships, which were held on 30 November 2025; recognises the achievements of the young Galashiels musicians who were given a gold award for their performances of Riggonhead Road, Tequila and Lion King at the contest in Perth Concert Hall; further recognises the achievements of Galashiels' youngest brass players, Maroon Brass, who also achieved a gold award in the Novice section, placing top five nationally; congratulates Galashiels Town Band musical director, Stuart Black, and all involved on a fantastic show of local talent.
