That the Parliament celebrates the upcoming Taste of Buchan, which is a free community food and drink event taking place on 26 February 2026 at the Palace Hotel in Peterhead; recognises that the event is entirely organised and delivered by senior pupils from Peterhead Academy who take responsibility for every aspect of the project, from planning and promotion to securing sponsorship and running the event on the day; applauds the pupils for their leadership, creativity and organisational skills, and for using the event to showcase and promote local food and drink producers from across Buchan; acknowledges the support of VisitAberdeenshire in helping to bring this initiative to life; commends Taste of Buchan as a shining example of young people strengthening their community, celebrating the region’s rich food heritage and gaining invaluable real-world experience; wishes the organisers every success with the event, and encourages local residents to come along and support the pupils and producers involved.
