Wishaw Men’s Shed

That the Parliament congratulates the Wishaw Men’s Shed on its launch and successful open day at Wishaw Bowling Club on 15 November 2025; notes that the charity’s patron is former World Snooker Champion, John Higgins; recognises that meetings had previously been held at Cambusnethan Old Parish Church, but that the shed now has a permanent base at Gowkthrapple Community Centre; acknowledges the important role of Men’s Sheds across Scotland in promoting mental health, wellbeing, social connection and practical skills among men of all ages; commends the organisers and volunteers for providing a safe and supportive space for men in the local community, and wishes the Wishaw Men’s Shed continued success in supporting men’s health and fostering community engagement.
