NHS Lanarkshire Pharmacy Technician, Adele Pessina, Recognised as Scottish Healthcare Awards Finalist

That the Parliament congratulates Adele Pessina, Senior Pharmacy Cancer Care Technician at University Hospital Wishaw, on being named a finalist in the Pharmacy Technician of the Year category at the Scottish Healthcare Awards 2025; notes that Adele was nominated by her colleague, Kelly Baillie, Lead Cancer Care Pharmacist, in recognition of her exceptional dedication to patient-centred care and her outstanding contributions to oncology pharmacy; understands that Adele played an instrumental role in launching education sessions for patients with prostate cancer, which, with the support of fellow pharmacy technicians, have now been expanded to include a wider range of medications; recognises the important role that pharmacy teams play in improving patient experience and outcomes across NHS Lanarkshire, and wishes Adele every success at the awards ceremony, which will take place on 19 November 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow, as well as continued success in her career supporting cancer care patients.
