That the Parliament commends Specsavers Wishaw for its generous donation of multiple bags of non-perishable items, including toiletries, dried pasta, coffee and biscuits, to the Wishaw Community Food Bank; recognises that this contribution will support individuals and families in need within the local community; notes that this initiative was part of the company’s efforts to mark World Homeless Day, which took place on 10 October; further notes that more than 180 Specsavers stores and Home Visits businesses across Scotland and the UK held out-of-hours or pop-up clinics to offer free eye and hearing care services to those affected by homelessness; expresses gratitude to all the local organisations, volunteers, foodbanks and community food larders across Scotland who continue to provide vital assistance and compassion to people during the ongoing cost of living crisis, and commends Specsavers and its staff for their ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable people and strengthening community wellbeing.
