That the Parliament recognises the Angus Book Fest, which is set to take place from 16 to 23 November 2025 in Montrose; acknowledges that the festival, established in 2019, has become an important annual celebration of literature, creativity and community; notes that the programme includes author talks, workshops, storytelling sessions, illustration activities, bookstalls and other literary events for people of all ages; commends the festival’s strong educational focus, particularly its work to inspire school pupils and aspiring writers, through creative writing and reading-based activities; appreciates the contribution of the area's volunteers, community organisations, businesses and supporters who make the event possible; welcomes the opportunities that the festival provides for Angus-based authors, poets and illustrators to showcase their work, alongside writers from across Scotland and beyond, and celebrates the role of the Angus Book Fest in promoting literacy, learning and a love of books across Angus and the wider region.
