That the Parliament congratulates Martin Daly, who is a builder from Motherwell, on being named Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2025; notes that this is the 16th year of what it sees as this prestigious competition, which recognises outstanding skill and commitment in the trades; commends Martin for impressing the judging panel with his inspiring career journey and his dedication to promoting trade careers to the next generation; particularly welcomes his strong advocacy for apprenticeships as a vital pathway into the industry, ensuring that young people gain skills, experience and opportunities to build rewarding careers; recognises Martin’s wider contribution to community engagement and mentoring; acknowledges that this year’s judging panel included representatives from the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting, as well as previous winners, Astrid Arnold and Mohammed Rahman, and commends Martin for being a role model who highlights the value of apprenticeships and lifelong learning for strengthening Scotland’s trades sector.
