As an amendment to motion S6M-18763 in the name of Fiona Hyslop (Twenty Years of Scotland's Railway Providing a Strong Platform for the Future), insert at end “; believes that further exploration of new lines must be carried out and presses the Scottish Government to make a positive decision on Newburgh train station; considers that more flexible ticket options should be brought in, such as two- or three-day-a-week season tickets that could help encourage more people to travel by train; recalls that the target to decarbonise all passenger trains was pushed back from 2035 to 2045, and calls, therefore, on the Scottish Government to finally publish its refreshed Rail Decarbonisation Action Plan so that work can be done to cut emissions and meet new decarbonisation targets.”
