First Scottish Artistic Roller Skating Club in 20 Years to Reach GB Finals

That the Parliament congratulates Central Scotland Artistic Roller Skating Club, which is based in Motherwell, on what it sees as its outstanding success at the Summer Roller Cup in Great Yarmouth; notes that three skaters, Reignet Ekhaguere from Motherwell, Sophia Balluck from Hamilton and Emma Campbell from Chapelhall, won gold in freestyle, thereby qualifying to compete at the 2025 GB Roller Cup in September; further notes that this is the first time in 20 years that a Scottish club has competed at this level; recognises the dedication of the head coach, Heather Balluck, and her partner, Gary Blake, who also operates Skool of Rollin’ to introduce children and adults to the sport before progressing to the GB Skate Artistic-affiliated club; commends the hard work of all athletes, coaches and volunteers involved, and wishes Central Scotland Artistic Roller Skating Club every success as it represents Scotland on the national stage.
