That the Parliament congratulates High Blantyre Primary School on its 150th anniversary; understands that High Blantyre School opened in October 1875 in a single-story stone building on Hunthill Road in Blantyre; notes that the school quickly saw a number of extensions and alterations through the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a move to a new building on Broompark Road in the 1970s, and a move to its current building on Broompark Road in 2006; believes that, through all of the changes over the years, the school has remained a much-valued and integral part of the Blantyre community; understands that the school is due to host a number of celebratory events in October 2025, including an open day and a concert, and wishes the staff, pupils and wider school community all the very best for their continued growth and success.
