That the Parliament congratulates all involved in the delivery of a new early years family hub in Maryhill, Glasgow, by Home Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire, as part of a strategic partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde; understands that the hub, which was formally opened by the First Minister on 28 August 2025, will be a welcoming, inclusive space where families can access the support that they need under one roof; commends this collaborative, multi-agency approach to providing a range of universal and targeted services that support families; welcomes that services within the hub will include midwifery, infant feeding support, perinatal mental health, parenting support, such as baby massage, bookbug sessions and baby and child first aid, as well as the wide range of family support already offered by Home Start and its partners; recognises the intention of the new hub to reduce isolation for mums, dads and carers by creating a space for connection and community, build confidence in parents and caregivers through engagement and empowerment and improve access to timely support to help reduce barriers and promote positive mental health; further recognises the contribution of funders, including the NHS Endowment Fund, Elevate Great (previously Cattanach), Children in Need and Glasgow Golf Club, which chose Home Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire as the Captain’s Charity; notes the invaluable support that volunteers provide to Home Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire in delivering its services; believes that offering such a wide range of services to families in the heart of Maryhill will have a hugely positive impact, and wishes all at Home Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire, other third sector partners and the parents and children who will benefit from the new hub all the very best at the new facility.
