  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 06 August 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-18471

That the Parliament commends Blether, a café on North Deeside Road in Cults, Aberdeen, for being crowned second best café in Britain in a study by Pens.com; understands that the study analysed Tripadvisor reviews and ratings of more than 4,000 cafés located in the most populated cities in the UK; acknowledges that cafés were scored according to their review and rating counts; recognises that Blether’s high score is a testament to what it sees as the excellent customer service, atmosphere, and food and drinks that it offers; celebrates the positive impact that receiving the title has had on Blether, with more people visiting the café; applauds the work of owner Dawn Forrest, who has managed Blether with her husband Alan since 2019, and has placed the local community at the heart of the business, and wishes Dawn, Alan and the team at Blether all the very best for the future.
