Empowering Entrepreneurs and Innovators - Amendment 1

  • Submitted by: Lorna Slater, Lothian, Scottish Green Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 03 June 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-17785.1

As an amendment to motion S6M-17785 in the name of Kate Forbes (Empowering Entrepreneurs and Innovators), insert at end "; recognises that public support for business must be conditional on paying living wages, recognising trade unions and not using tax havens; further recognises the significant opportunities to support the scale-up of already successful Scottish businesses presented by the transition to a green economy, and recognises that businesses, including start-ups, based on inclusive and democratic business models, have an intrinsic and dynamic capability to aid economic transformation, distribute wealth and support workers and communities by ensuring that more people have a genuine stake and say in the economy, thereby increasing wealth, wellbeing and environmental outcomes for all of Scotland’s people."
