That the Parliament commends the members of the Church of Scotland's Glasgow presbytery and the homeless charity, the Lodging House Mission, on launching the project, Glasgow Close Knit; understands that the project encourages church members across the presbytery to knit or crotchet 850 blankets to help people in need and to mark the 850th anniversary of the City of Glasgow; recognises that the blankets will be distributed to men and women using hostel accommodation across the city; congratulates all involved with the project, including the city's knitting and craft groups, for their efforts, and wishes them all the best in completing the challenge.
