That the Parliament congratulates Euan Kemp, a sixth year pupil at the Music School of Douglas Academy in Milngavie, on winning the Scottish Young Musician’s Solo Performer of the Year 2024 award; understands that Euan is a saxophonist and was up against 31 musicians from across Scotland at the third Solo Performer of the Year Final at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; further understands that Euan played a rendition of Improvisation No.1 by Ryo Noda and Fantaisie-Impromptu by André Jolivet and was later crowned the third ever winner of the competition; commends Euan again for this fantastic win, and wishes him every success in the future.
