  • Motion reference: S6M-13278

That the Parliament congratulates farmer, Roberta Dunbar, on her Barncluth herd being named British Friesian Herd of the Year; understands that the Dunbars have been at Cromlet Farm since 1899; notes that the 185-acre farm is home to 85 pedigree British Friesians, which give an average yield of 7,800kg; believes that the Barncluth herd and Friesians in general are particularly well suited to the type of land and climate in North Lanarkshire; praises the Dunbars on winning the award, which recognises the most productive British Friesian herd from across the UK using a combination of classification and production results; understands that the farm also produces Dunbar's Daisies Farm Fresh Milk, and wishes the Dunbars and the herd continued good fortune.
