  • Motion reference: S6M-10107

That the Parliament celebrates the third Play and Learn Stuff! (PALS) summer scheme, which took place at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall between 24 to 28 July 2023; congratulates the collaboration of Out of the Blueprint, Strange Town Youth Centre, and All or Nothing, which, it understands, are three youth art organisations, based in Leith, that initiated the scheme in response to the constraints that children between the ages of 11 and 13 faced when transitioning from primary to secondary school during the COVID-19 pandemic; recognises what it sees as the long-term effects of the pandemic isolation on children of that age group and notes the efforts made by the organisations to help them develop important social skills and confidence in their developing years; wishes the best to organisers and participants of the scheme for their hard work and continuing engagement, and looks forward to all that is yet to be achieved by the next generation.
