Cumnock’s Kevin Simmonds Set to Expand Business, Opening Job Opportunities in Mauchline

  • Submitted by: Sharon Dowey, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 01 June 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-09181

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Cumnock-based company, Compliance Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), founded by Cumnock’s Kevin Simmonds in 2017, is set to open a new local facility in Mauchline; believes that this will provide more jobs and will help to boost the area’s economy; understands that the company’s work helps manufacturers reduce energy and costs, by providing bespoke dust and fume extraction systems; further understands that the new facility, expected to be completed by July 2023, will treble its capacity and open up at least seven jobs to the local area; considers this to be a welcome boost to the East Ayrshire town, and wishes all at Compliance LEV well for the company's future success.
