Safer Outer Hebrides Shortlisted for Scottish Charity Award

That the Parliament congratulates the Western Isles Violence Against Women Partnership on its nomination for the Campaign of the Year award for its Safer Outer Hebrides campaign at the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards, to be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh on 23 June 2023; notes what it sees as the success of the campaign, which seeks to reduce and prevent incidents of gender-based violence through effective co-operation between the private, public and voluntary sectors in the provision of high-quality, appropriate services and the protection of adults and children affected by relationship violence and abuse; celebrates the achievements of all 32 finalists in the 2023 Scottish Charity Awards; recognises the hard work of SCVO in organising and hosting the Scottish Charity Awards annually, and thanks the Western Isles Violence Against Women Partnership, and all nominated voluntary organisations and individuals, for what it sees as the crucial work that they do in communities across the country.
