As an amendment to motion S6M-08626 in the name of Màiri McAllan (Delivering on Climate Change and the Just Transition), after the first "environment;" insert "recognises, in turn, the Scottish Government’s responsibility to everyone who uses Scotland’s rivers, lochs and beaches; condemns, therefore, the release of sewage into Scotland’s waterways on at least 14,000 occasions in 2022, and calls for a comprehensive monitoring regime so that the full extent of discharges can be established and accompanied by policies to tackle this scandal;".
