  • Submitted by: Sharon Dowey, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 15 June 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04850

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the UK Government's efforts in Rwanda to sustainably increase agricultural productivity and benefit poor farming households through greater commercialisation of Rwandan agriculture; believes that this will result in a greater contribution of agriculture to economic growth, food security, and poverty reduction; notes that the programme ran from January 2019 to March 2022 with a projected budget of £28.8 million, which has been fully spent; commends what it sees as the UK Government’s efforts in Rwanda, and applauds to the success of this programme and to everyone involved.
