That the Parliament considers that what society builds should meet the needs of society; believes that this is hard to achieve if the built environment is not sufficiently diverse and, as an industry, does not reflect society, and welcomes, therefore, the work of the Chartered Institute of Building in developing a Diversity and Inclusion Charter for businesses in the built environment to get moving in the right direction towards having a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
