As an amendment to motion S6M-00369 in the name of Maree Todd (Women’s Health), after "substantially improve;" insert "recognises the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions have had on pregnant women and new mothers; considers that access to safe abortion to be a fundamental right; calls on the Scottish Government to retain the provision for early medical abortions at home introduced during the pandemic, explore removing the 'two doctor' rule, and explore the possibility of extending maternity benefits such as free dentistry to reflect delays in treatment during the pandemic;".
