Ministers of all four countries have committed to working together to maintain a consistent approach to professional healthcare regulation across national boundaries. This is in the interests of both patients and professionals and to prevent professionals with conduct issues crossing systems.

There are no current plans to regulate clinical associates in applied psychology. The current UK wide approach to regulation is underpinned by the UK Command Paper Enabling Excellence which was published in February 2011. This confirms that the statutory regulation of further healthcare professions is unlikely in the near future and alternatives, such as voluntary registers accredited by the professional standards authority for health and social care, should be considered first. Ministers of the four administrations would need to agree to regulate further groups.

Between January 2011 and June 2015, 210 homes have been purchased through the open market shared equity scheme in Glasgow.

The Scottish Government has no plans to review its open market shared equity scheme. ODS Consulting carried out independent research for the Scottish Government on four of the low-cost initiative for first time buyers (LIFT) schemes in 2010-11 which included the open market shared equity. Scottish Ministers are committed to the protection and promotion of the historic environment, the ambition which sits at the heart of the Historic Environment Strategy, Our Place in Time. That includes recognising the value of many examples of post-war architecture through listing and other means.

Historic Scotland, acting on behalf of Scottish Ministers, regularly provides advice to owners and managers on the care and maintenance of their properties and encourages where possible the repair and reuse of post-war listed buildings.

Historic Scotland can provide grant support towards the repair and redevelopment of significant properties of the post-war period to deliver a viable and sustainable future use for any eligible building. From 1 October 2015 these roles will be undertaken by Historic Environment Scotland, a new non-departmental public body.

<>In terms of staff levels, we are better equipped to deliver services than ever before. The latest information for whole time equivalent (WTE) and part-time employees in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is available as at 31 March 2015 and is published by Information Services Division Scotland (ISD):

WTE staff: 34,087.2 WTE - a 2.8% increase since 2006.

Part–time staff: 9,579.2 WTE - an 11.4 % increase since 2006.

Information for casual and other employees employed by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and other NHS bodies in Glasgow is not held by ISD.

The Scottish Government does not hold this information centrally. Ministers have made clear their expectation that colleges should do everything possible to avoid compulsory redundancies. I have asked the Chief Executive for the Scottish Funding Council to write to the member with further information.

Information on the number of staff employed in colleges is held by the Scottish Funding Council.

Information is available for academic years 2012-13 and 2013-14, however data for years later than this is not yet available. It is not possible to provide the exact staff breakdown requested.

3. The Scottish Government only holds this information for those agencies to which we provide an HR function. Agencies with a presence in Glasgow which are included in this table are Accountant in Bankruptcy (Glasgow office only), Disclosure Scotland, Education Scotland, Scottish Housing Regulator and Transport Scotland.

Research carried out by KPMG in October 2014 indicated that Scotland has a higher proportion of employees paid the living wage compared to both the UK as a whole and each devolved UK nation. The report estimated that approximately 81% of earners in Scotland were paid at least the living wage.

Data provided by the Poverty Alliance shows that the number of directly employed staff across the UK employed by Scots-based living wage accredited employers was 127,867 as at 7 July 2015. This information is based on the number of employees at the time of accreditation.
