To ask the Scottish Government whether all families in the Lothians with children aged between 27 and 30 months are receiving their health assessment on time.

Information Services Division (ISD) published figures show that in 2014-15 there were 9,819 children eligible for a 27-30 month review in NHS Lothian. 82.3% of these children had been recorded as receiving their review by the time of the ISD data extract in November 2015. Of the 8,081 children who had a review, 99.5% were carried out before the child turned 33 months (the agreed upper age limit for recording the review on the national child health system).

NHS Lothian reports the figures for April 2015 to September 2015 are:

84.2% eligible children were reviewed (4,616 eligible, 3,887 reviewed);

99.7% of children seen were reviewed by end of 32 months (3,887 reviewed, 3,877 reviewed by 32 months).

The review is not mandatory and some families may choose not to accept the invitation for a review.

NHS Lothian is taking steps to increase uptake.

To ask the Scottish Government how many full-time equivalent health visitors have been employed in Midlothian in each year since 2010.

Information on the number of health visitors in Midlothian is not centrally held.

Information on the number of whole time equivalent health visitors in NHS Lothian is published by Information Services Division Scotland and is shown in the following table.

Due to the recent review of community nurse data, information on health visitors is not comparable to earlier years, and is shown from 2014 onwards.
