Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, whether it plans to centralise control of all roads from local authorities to Transport Scotland and, if so, (a) what measures it will introduce to ensure that distinct local and regional public transport priorities are met and (b) how it will to ensure that the public will continue to have direct links with institutions that assess and provide (i) local non-trunk road maintenance and (ii) public transport.
