Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the report by Ombudsman Services, which suggests that one-in-five railway passengers in the UK are “resigned to poor service”, what action it is taking to ensure that passengers have confidence in services in Scotland.

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the recent report that Coca-Cola Ltd has added its support to a campaign calling for a deposit return scheme to be introduced in Scotland and the company's comment that 63% of its consumers support the introduction of a deposits system in the UK, with 51% saying they would be more likely to recycle as a result.
