To ask the Scottish Government how many staff have been employed by the Students Awards Agency for Scotland in each year since 2007.

The number of staff employed by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) is included in the statement of accounts prepared by SAAS each year and laid before the Scottish Parliament by Scottish Ministers. These are also published in the Annual Report and Accounts and available at www.saas.gov.uk.

From the Notes to the Accounts, the average number of full-time equivalent staff employed by SAAS since 2007 is:

Furthermore, no funding has gone directly to the Scottish FA for Cashback Facilities projects. This funding was directed through sportscotland and the Scottish Football Association was involved in identifying projects to be supported.

Between 2007 and 2011, sportscotland managed CashBack facilities funding for football projects across Scotland, the details of which are shown in the following table.

To ask the Scottish Government what percentage of contracts for the Forth Replacement Crossing have been allocated to (a) Scottish and (b) non-Scottish companies and how much these contracts are worth.

As of 31 July 2012 60.5% (156) subcontracts issued by the main contractors noted above have been to Scottish companies and 39.5% (102) to non-Scottish companies. The total value of Scottish subcontracts is about £31 million of the total of about £174 million.

In addition, of the 3,640 supply orders awarded by the principal contractor (FCBC), 86.5% (3,150) have been to Scottish companies with a value of about £41 million out of a total value of about £56 million.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-03648 by Kenny MacAskill on 3 November 2011, how much (a) of each amount listed has been allocated and (b) each organisation has received since November 2011.

Since the inception of the highly successful Cashback Programme in 2007, over £46 million recovered from the proceeds of crime has been invested throughout Scotland, directly benefitting over 600,000 young people and generating over 11,000 young person volunteers who are now putting something back into their communities.

The Scottish Government allocates available funds to partner organisations, which are responsible for running projects across Scotland. The following table shows the list of funding to all of our national partner organisations from 2007 until March 2015, showing the amount of the award received and allocated.

To ask the Scottish Government what the value is of each contract that (a) the First Minister, (b) the Deputy First Minister, (c) each cabinet secretary, (d) each directorate and (e) each agency has with Atos; when each of the contracts that are still in force were agreed, and what the dates were of any (i) renewal or (ii) extension of them.

The First Minister, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretaries do not have contracts with Atos.

The Scottish Procurement and Commercial Directorate within the Scottish Government currently have two national frameworks in place in which Atos is a supplier. They are the Business Management Consultancy Framework, which started on 1 September 2010 and will expire on 31 August 2013, unless the 12 month optional extension is utilised, and the IT Managed Services Framework which began on 1 April 2011 and will expire on 1 April 2014. This framework also has a 12 month optional extension.

To date, the only core Directorate or Executive Agency to use either of these frameworks is Historic Scotland. Their contract with Atos is a call-off from the IT Managed Services Framework and is valued at £2.6 million. The contract started on 27 March 2012 and will finish on 26 March 2015, unless the 12 month optional extension is taken. If utilised, the extension will be valued at £0.6 million.

The Scottish Public Pensions Agency has a contract for the Provision of Medical Advice, which has a value of £180,000 and started on 1 October 2008. The contract will end on 30 September 2013.

Transport Scotland has a framework agreement for Consultancy Support on All Aspects of the Transport Application. The framework started on 1 October 2005 and will end on 1 March 2014. To date no services have been called-off from this agreement.

Based on information gathered from the centralised contracts register within the Scottish Procurement Information Hub, no other Executive Agency or Scottish Government Directorate has a contract with Atos.

To ask the Scottish Government how many retail stores in each local authority are liable to pay the Public Health Supplement.

It is for local authorities to interpret rating legislation, including determining which properties are liable for the public health supplement. However, the following table gives the number of properties in each Local Authority area estimated to be liable by the Scottish Government, as at March 2012.

The actual number of properties paying the public health supplement in each of the three years it will apply will depend on a number of factors. These include opening of new stores, changes in use of properties, changes in rateable value and changes to individual stores policies on sale of alcohol and tobacco.
