To ask the Scottish Government how many people with advanced Parkinson’s have been given Duodopa in each of the last three years.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will take steps to make to make Duodopa routinely available for people with advanced Parkinson's, in light of the recent decision to do so in England.

In Scotland, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) provides advice on medicines. The Scottish Government’s position is that pharmaceutical companies should put forward a good quality submission to SMC with a fair offering on price. SMC has recently received a submission from the pharmaceutical company holding the marketing authorisation for co-careldopa (Duodopa) intestinal gel for the treatment of advanced levodopa-responsive Parkinson’s disease with severe motor fluctuations and hyper/dyskinesia.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to promote fair trade.

The Scottish Government is committed to ensuring that producers in the developing world achieve a fair price for their goods. Key to this commitment is our core funding support for the Scottish Fair Trade Forum, who have received nearly £800,000 since 2007 to take forward Scotland's campaign for Fair Trade Nation Status, an accolade we successfully achieved in 2013. A further £440,000 over the period 2014-17 has been awarded to the forum to build on this achievement by strengthening support for fair trade across all sections of Scottish society.

At the start of this year's Fairtrade Fortnight, I wrote to major high street retailers calling on them to stock more fair trade school uniforms. Giving parents more choice to buy fair trade school clothes and encouraging small changes to the way they shop can make a real difference to the lives of some of the world's poorest people.

To ask the Scottish Government how much financial support it received from the EU in respect of the Glasgow Airport Rail Link project; how much of that funding was spent, and what the terms and conditions for repayment were.

In January 2007, the European Commission under the TEN-T budget agreed to provide Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) with financial aid of 1,700,000 to facilitate design and preparatory works necessary for the Glasgow Airport Rail Link project to be developed to Network Rail’s Guide to Railway Investment Projects Stage 4.

The initial payment of 850,000 was made to SPT. All of the works to which the award related were completed by May 2010 and the final payment of 850,000 was made to Scottish Ministers/Transport Scotland.

The entire funding award was spent on the Glasgow Airport Rail Link project.

The terms and conditions of the award made provision that had the works, to which the funding related, not have been completed within 10 years of the date of award, reimbursement could have been demanded.
