Yes. An individual who is temporarily disabled can apply for a Blue Badge on a temporary basis. A temporary badge will be issued where an individual is assessed by the local authority as being unable to walk or virtually unable to walk by reason of a temporary but substantial disability which is likely to last for a period of at least 12 months beginning with the date on which the badge is issued.

On 31 January 2013 the Scottish Government announced that we had reached agreement with the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) on the reimbursement and funding arrangements for the National Concessionary Travel scheme over the next two years.

The agreement is based on independent research developed in full consultation with CPT. It is fair, robust and financially sustainable.

The reimbursement rate will now reduce from 67% of the adult single fare to 60% in 2013-14 and 58.1% in 2014-15.

By way of transition, Scottish Government has agreed to phase in the reduction and to provide an additional £10 million this financial year to operators participating in the scheme during March 2013.

Since the inception of the highly successful CashBack for Communities Programme in 2007, over £50 million recovered from the proceeds of crime has been invested throughout Scotland, directly benefitting over 600,000 young people and generating over 11,000 young person volunteers who are now putting something back into their communities.

The Scottish Government allocates available funds to large national partner organisations, which are responsible for running projects across Scotland. Based on the Scottish Government’s commitment to continue to expand the successful CashBack for Communities Programme, all PoCA recoveries currently available to the Programme have been committed through to 2015-16.

As part of that commitment, there will be tranches of smaller individual grants available to applications for youth work and cultural activities delivered by YouthLink Scotland:
