And learning from ourselves. I was concerned when I discovered how many fewer healthy years lived that Scots have now compared with the figure from 10 or 20 years ago. There is a pretty significant difference of about five years on average. To explain the phrase for those who are not used to it, “healthy years lived” means the average age that people are expected to get to without having major health issues. That figure has dropped considerably in Scotland over the past 20 years. What research do you have on that? What are your thoughts on it?

Going back to the prevention aspect, what can we do to address it? The Bavarian health committee visited us, and we asked their members what the situation was in Germany. They did not really understand our question at first but, when they did, they replied, “Our people live more healthily and for longer.” They have the same problems as we have with looking after frail people. I wonder what research there is on that and what we can look at in the prevention area.

We still want to bring a couple of things in before we move to public sector reform. Do you have a follow-up question, Jack?
