Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning. I welcome everyone to the Justice Committee’s third meeting in 2012. I ask everyone to switch off mobile phones and other electronic devices completely, as they interfere with the broadcasting system even when they are switched to silent. I have apologies from Alison McInnes, who is still unwell. We send her our best regards; she is much missed from the committee and we hope to see her next week.

Agenda item 1 is a decision on taking business in private. Does the committee agree to take in private item 3, which is on our approach to the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Bill, and item 4, which is on our draft letter to the Scottish Government to highlight evidence that we received on Lord Carloway’s review?
