Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the 12th meeting in 2008 of the Equal Opportunities Committee. I remind everyone that mobile phones and BlackBerrys should be switched off completely, as they interfere with the sound system even when they are switched to silent.

Apologies have been received from Elaine Smith MSP.

Under agenda item 1, we must decide whether, at next week's meeting, we should consider a paper by our gender reporter in private. Do members agree that we should do so?
