Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Bill: Financial Memorandum

Item 5 is consideration of the financial memorandum to the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Bill. At our meeting on 11 March, the committee considered the submissions that had been received and raised a number of concerns. The committee agreed to write to the bill team to ask for clarification on a number of points. A response has been received and is included in the papers. The response addresses the concerns that were raised, and I thank the respondents for the clarification.

I recommend that the committee agrees to forward the submissions and the response to the lead committee for its consideration. The lead committee has completed its oral evidence-taking sessions and will shortly consider its report. Do members agree to that approach?
