Interests

I welcome everyone to the 18th meeting in 2010 of the Subordinate Legislation Committee. We have received apologies from Elaine Smith. I remind everyone to turn off their mobiles and BlackBerrys—and that includes me.

The first item on the agenda is a declaration of interests. I welcome to the meeting Alex Johnstone as a new member of the committee and, in accordance with section 3 of the code of conduct, invite him to declare any interests that might be relevant to the committee’s remit.

I have thought long and hard about this and have not come up with any interests that I believe would be relevant to the committee. I therefore have nothing to declare.
