Can you confirm whether you have received any request from the Parliamentary Bureau for the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning to make a statement to the Parliament on the change to class-size regulations? A major policy announcement has been made today; will Parliament have the opportunity to scrutinise it in the normal way?
I point out to the member that it is for the Government, not the Parliamentary Bureau, to make such a request. However, I can confirm that to date I have received no such request.
