I undertook last week to come back to the chamber in response to a point of order that was raised by Margo MacDonald about resolutions of the Parliament. Having now clarified the point that she was making, I confirm that a majority decision in favour of a motion or an amended motion results in a resolution of the Parliament. In relation to the specific resolution to which she referred, I have said previously that where a resolution of the Parliament has implications for the Government, it becomes a matter for the Government to decide how to respond.
