Decision on Taking Business in Private

I welcome everyone to the fifth meeting in 2011 of the European and External Relations Committee. I ask everyone to switch off any electronic devices, as they interfere with the sound system.

The first item on our agenda is a decision on taking item 5 in private. It is normal procedure to consider such issues in private at the end of a committee meeting. Is the committee content to take item 5 in private?

Members indicated agreement.

I register apologies from Helen Eadie, who cannot be with us today because she has another commitment. We will ensure that she gets all the information that she needs for coming along next week.
