Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 18th meeting in 2014 of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee. I welcome members, our witnesses, who I will introduce in a second, and our visitors to the public gallery. I remind everyone to turn off, or at least to turn to silent, all mobile phones and other electronic devices, so that they do not interfere with the sound equipment.
We have received apologies from Dennis Robertson, who must be elsewhere this morning. We are joined by committee substitute, Stewart Maxwell. Mr Maxwell, as this is your first attendance at the committee, I must ask whether you have any interests relevant to the committee’s work to declare.
I am not aware of any relevant interests that I need to declare. However, I point members and others to my entry in the register of members’ interests.
