Good morning and welcome to the 11th meeting in 2012 of the Local Government and Regeneration Committee. As usual, I ask everyone to ensure that they have switched off their mobile phones and other electronic equipment.

Our only item of business is consideration of two Scottish statutory instruments, which are both subject to the negative procedure. Members have papers from the clerk that set out the purpose of the orders. The Subordinate Legislation Committee has commented on the timescale for the laying of the orders and on some minor drafting errors. If members have no comments, is the committee content to make no recommendations to the Parliament on the instruments?
