Good morning, fellow committee members, and welcome to the 14th meeting of the Education and Culture Committee in session 4. I remind members to switch off mobile phones or electronic devices because they interfere with the sound system. We have received apologies from Liam McArthur, who is stuck in Orkney as the airport is closed. It is hoped that it will open some time this morning, but he will not be here in time. As far as we know, Jean Urquhart is travelling at the moment and is on her way, so I hope that she will join us shortly.
